HISTORY -

In a dimension much like our own...

A world of war...endless war, for as long as anyone could remember. A race of aliens known as the Worlings descended from the heavens and quickly laid waste to many major cities before any sort of authority could react. They were so efficient, so deadly...we didn't stand a chance. The Worlings then revealed their intent to enslave our planet in order to create a military outpost...and then destroy all humans who remain. Our Council of Elders were quick to strike a deal with the ancient war-race: they would give up millions of their own people to the Worlings if they would be spared. The cowards were granted their deal, and thus the Divide began. Those who could afford freedom were given freedom...no slavery and no death. Those who were not so lucky, however, were forced to help build the Worlings' empire upon Earth.

Within a small family of mystics, a power was created within a young boy, a spark that they foretold would free the oppressed and drive the Worlings from Earth. Eric Bowen was trained in secret by the strongest and wisest of those around him and, soon, he joined a group of resistance fighters and went with them to disrupt progress. These attempts at fighting back escalated over time and they grew stronger...to the point where the Worlings knew they must stop these resistors before they get out of hand - a point that was arriving very quickly. Using their superiorly advanced technological intellect, the Worlings began to create a special armor that one of them could wear that would make them unstoppable to the humans.

When the resistors learned about this, they knew that they must get the armor for themselves...and they would be able to stop the Worlings for good. Because of Eric's immense progress, and because of the prophecy foretold by Eric's family, the resistors knew that he must be the one to wear the armor. A large group of resistors stormed the Worlings' stronghold and, after an arduous struggle, many of them finally made it to where the Worlings were keeping the completed armor. Eric touched the armor, and it instantly grafted to his body, becoming a part of him on a genetic level. Furious that a human had taken their greatest weapon to use against them, the Worlings forced Eric into an interdimensional gateway, which brought him to our Earth.

[5.26.08] - 153c13, TJ Beckett : *TJ's up late once again, watching Metalocalypse as he does every time it's on. He loves that show...no matter how inappropriate it may seem to someone his age. Doesn't matter...it's a funny show...and the music ROCKS. But tonight's not going to be like any other night.... There's a rip in the space-time continuum, and even if TJ doesn't know it...he's affected. His head kicks back into the couch roughly, and his vision goes haywire. All of a sudden, he sees a flash of a world bathed in red - everything is colored red: the stone, the sky, the structures. In this world are people that look human...being slaved under what looks like monstrous, giant guards who look like a cross between a human, a banshee and an alien from the movie Alien. There's an explosion far off, and then the vision cuts off suddenly...leaving a sweating, panting TJ scared and confused on the couch in Xavier's mansion...*

POWERS -
Any powers Eric has come from his armor. His armor description is as follows:

The Mask
The suit's mask covers the top half of Eric's face. The mask extends all the way back over his head. The right eye is where the HUD is, displaying what he needs from his mini-computer and general information such as weather, date and time and current location and any information he calls up from the records contained in the mini-computer. The left eye is more of a targeting display. The mask has the ability for spectral change – it can switch over to night-vision and heat, or infrared, vision and x-ray. It can also telescope to a very good distance. It is armored, of course, and able to withstand distant gunfire, but it is not recommended as serious injury would follow after impact.

The Torso
Adorned on the chest is a duplicate outline "M" of the burn scar on Eric's chest. The upper torso section is reinforced to withstand all heavy blows, including close-range gunfire. There will be technical difficulties, and it is not recommended in the least that Eric attempt to take a straight shot, as serious injury could follow, but he can take it. The lower torso is completely flexible, allowing Eric to partake in acrobatics and any movements he may need to execute. This section is reinforced as well, of course, but not as much. It exhibits the same protections as the thigh guards. On the back is the removable sheath for his sword. There is a built-in self defense mechanism that allows Eric to briefly super-heat the surface of his chest plate armor.

The Legs
Heavy boots that protect his feet from intense temperatures and damage. Form-fitting thigh covers that flex and move like liquid metal over his outside-thighs. These can withstand heavy blows and distant gunfire, given the type.

The Belt
Here, Eric has a radio communicator built into the belt, a back-up power supply and a holster for a sidearm, should Eric choose to carry one. Interestingly, the holster is also made of a malleable liquid-metal that can conform to almost any type of sidearm he puts in there.

The Right Arm -
Shoulder is left bare. The bicep armor contains a mini computer, similar to the Predator's forearm unit, only with flat-panel, touch screen technology that responds only to Eric's genetic touch. On this computer there is a map/GPS feature that feeds to his HUD, a coded manual override to his armor features, a detachable tracker signal device, records of information, a translator and a self-destruct mechanism. Below the elbow, on the next panel, there is an emergency grappler device mounted, hidden, on the underside of the forearm. The cable that deploys from this is a laser cable, emitted from a tiny beam device that allows for a length of line unachievable with normal wire that would take up physical space. It has the tensile strength to hold about 600 lbs. Lastly, the right hand can be completely covered, enveloped, in a metal casing that renders it indestructible, much like Hellboy's stone fist.

The Left Arm
The shoulder contains the battery/energy source for the plasma cannon. On the bicep section, there is a double-barreled plasma cutter cannon that emits a thin, focused beam of volatile gas that is then sent through an electric arc at the end of the barrel that transforms the gas into a plasma beam capable of cutting material and metals, if focused long enough to melt it. Next, the forearm piece contains tens of small, razor-sharp shark tooth-like blades that pop out at Eric's discretion, creating a dangerous, spiked forearm. On the left hand, there is a metal cover that stretches across the top of the hand and fingers. The covers are entirely flexible, that liquid-like property allowing free movement. The ends of these focus and extend to sharp points capable of cutting flesh.

The Sword
It, like the rest of the armor, has the incredible ability to retract into nothing and seemingly disappear from sight. It is flexible and strong, resistant to damage and always sharp.

I -
The armor has two other properties – One, the wearer has the ability to "pass on" the suit to a successor. It is done with a touch to the chest and the intent to pass down the suit. The chosen successor is then marked with the "M" symbol on the chest and the suit is theirs. The second is a cleaning feature. The suit is able to clean the wearer, as showering or bathing would be difficult with the armor in the way (when it is fully retracted, it is not entirely gone, just (hidden).

II -
Eric is a normal human being, aided by technology in the form of an armored super-suit. For any of his abilities to be accessible, Eric must be in armored mode. He cannot use any of the powers while it is retracted. The battery in the suit can last for three days with normal use, not including the back-up supply, which can extend that an extra day. If Eric's suit should run out of power, it retracts, leaving him entirely normal, and all that that implies.

III -
Despite his armor's reinforcement and protection from blows and gunfire, it is still susceptible to damage. Heavy, repeated blows will result in personal injury and possible technical malfunctions. Gunshots, while resisted, can result in the same, and also possible system failures. Gunshots from a reasonable distance, given their caliber, most likely won't break through, but injury can still come from such damage.

IV -
While the suit enhances and augments Eric's strength by his will, doing so draws a little extra power from the suit. It's not much, because if it were created that way, it would be devastating to the user if they had to use their extra strength a lot. It's only a fraction of the cost more, but if Eric were forced to exert a larger amount of strength for an extended length of time, he could be in danger of system failures and technical malfunctions.

(Mask depicted incorrectly)

SKILLS -

Hand-to-hand combat and acrobatic feats. Swordplay. Technologically inclined because of slight genetic enhancing from the "living" technology grafted to him through the suit. Skills gleaned from this include some hacking, photographic memory and the ability to decipher a number of written languages, including binary code.
